I am a fan of advent devotionals. By definition, Christmas is a season about Christ but in practice it is strewed with distractions.
I find the daily habit of an advent devotional a meaningful discipline that bears fruit beyond Christmas. So, I am delighted that Chase Kuhn has written one!
In his warm and winsome manner, Chase invites readers to “mark the season” with him. He leads us through a rich selection of the Old and New Testaments on Christ’s first coming (his birth) and his second coming (his return).
Waiting for the Christ is aptly named, as it leaves us with a lingering aftertaste of purpose and urgency in our lifetime between Christ’s comings.
I came away assured of all I have in Christ and re-awakened to my responsibilities in proclaiming Christ to a lost world. Waiting for the Christ is a wonderful Christmas gift for all who live ‘between’.
